Quo Vadis Photos in Color

About giraffe44

I became a Robert Taylor fan at the age of 15 when his TV show, "The Detectives" premiered. My mother wanted to watch it because she remembered Mr. Taylor from the thirties. I took one look and that was it. I spent the rest of my high school career watching Robert Taylor movies on late night TV, buying photos of him, making scrapbooks and being a typical teenager. College, marriage and career intervened. I remember being sad when Mr. Taylor died. I mailed two huge scrapbooks to Ursula Thiess. I hope she got them. Time passed, retirement, moving to Florida. Then in 2012 my husband Fred pointed that there were two Robert Taylor movies that evening on Turner Classic Movies--"Ivanhoe" and "Quentin Durward." I watched both and it happened all over again. I started this blog both for fans and for people who didn't know about Robert Taylor. As the blog passes 200,000 views I'm delighted that so many people have come by and hope it will help preserve the legacy of this fine actor and equally good man.

Many thanks for the answer! But I’d like to get that photo in a better image quality. Do you have that file? Regards Christian.

Yes, I think so, by which I mean I have the image and its properties. It is 59.86 kb. How would I send it to you (revealing my total lack of computer sophistication)?

Wow! 59,86 kb? You could send it to me by email! So I guess the image should be colossal! I’m talking about the last photo of the list, RT with the man that says “Remember you’re only a man”
    Regards!

That should have been 59.86 kb. It’s not large and I could easily e-mail it to you.

Hi, I am new to this blog I only joined about a week ago, but I can’t get enough of Robert Taylor! I love reading your blogs, as they are very informative and give a lot of detail on Mr. Taylors life and career. I love the movie Quo Vadis, it is my favorite film by Robert Taylor. These pictures are great! My family owns the film in technicolor and it is very enjoyable to watch. I am a Christian myself so that’s one reason why I’ve always loved Quo Vadis, along with Taylor’s astonishing performance, as well as Deborah Kerr, Peter Ustinov, and Leo Genn. It’s a shame this man never got an oscar, he truly was an amazing actor.

Hi, Hannah, I agree with you totally about “Quo Vadis.” I try to watch it around Easter and just did last week. It never gets old. There are so many films Mr. Taylor should have gotten a Oscar for and the Academy never took him seriously. Judith
